Reread? Ain’t Nobody Got Time For That

The Incendiary – book two of the Selvaren series – was released on September 8, 2026. If you need a recap of the first book, the Silversmith, before you start the next one – here ya goooo.

1. Our main character, Aryella (Ary to some, Ella to her love), had her memories erased by her uncle Simeon
2. She was told this happened because of a fall in the cellar, but in reality:
   1. Uncle Simeon is an ancient sorcerer who discovered magic with his friend Molochai to rid the world of the evil tyrants who ruled it before them. Simeon uses spells, but Molochai tapped into the dark magic and became evil.
   2. They became the rulers but made the figurehead of the monarchy a woman, Simeon’s sister: Christabel
   3. Molochai fell in love with Christabel but it was unrequited. She married a man and had a baby, who Molochai tried to kill when she was a few days old – this ends up being Aryella.
3. She forgets ALL of this and lives in the northern region of the kingdom with her “parents”, Phillip and Elowen, and her “brother”, Oliver – she was sent there by Simeon and starves in the cold.
   1. She is rescued from this by her friend Gemma and three men – Finn, Caz, and Ezra. She is told she is QUEEN OF NYRIDA and must go to the Winterton Caves to marry Elias Winterton so she can have an army to defeat Molochai.
   2. Another man that wasn’t supposed to be there, is Smyth. He trains her to fight and she falls in love with him.
   3. She was trapped in stasis for 400 years before she was awoken to destroy Molochai. She is the only one who can defeat Molochai, because she has the power of all 12 Selvaren (their gods), which combats the evil darkness that corrupted Molochai.
4. Aryella falls in love with Smyth, whose first name is Gavin, but he doesn’t tell her the truth about their past until she confronts Molochai thinking he kidnapped Gavin’s wife…turns out…IT’S HER.
5. Molochai tries to kill her again and tosses her off the cliff, but her power regenerates her heart and saves her. All is then revealed by Gavin – he lived 400 years to wait for her by selling his soul to Molochai and making a blood pact that he would be the Butcher of Nyrida, killing whoever Molochai wanted in the meantime – including Phillip and Oliver.

The Silversmith ends with Aryella furious at Gavin for not telling her the truth about who she was and finding it out from Damond, Gavin’s cousin instead. Gavin gifts her an umbra he rescued – an adorable, iridescent kitten-like animal – that she can communicate with through her power.

She is staying at a secluded cabin (that Gavin built for her over and over during that 400 years) with Damond until she is strong enough to go to the caves to meet Elias Winterton…
